Lifestyle Desk. This year the corona virus has put a stop to the world famous Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra. For the first time in the history of 285 years, this Rath Yatra, to be organized among lakhs of devotees, will go out without devotees. Last year too, a symbolic journey was taken out amid the Corona crisis. But last time devotees had participated in this yatra. But this time permission has not been given due to corona protocol.

According to media reports, Odisha Chief Relief Disaster Commissioner Pradeep Jaina told that this year devotees will not participate in the Rath Yatra. Only a few servants who have received the corona negative report and got the vaccine will be involved in this.

Jain told that curfew will be imposed in this holy city on the day of Rath Yatra. Devotees will be able to watch the program live on television and webcast.
