New Delhi :The major events of June 18 in India and world history are as follows:- 1576- Battle of Haldighati started between Maharana Pratap and Akbar.

1802 – Ga Ling is crowned as the first emperor of the Nguyen dynasty in Vietnam.
1812 – The War of 1812 begins between the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
1815 – Napoleon’s army defeats Britain at the Battle of Waterloo.
1837 – Spain adopted a new constitution.
1842 – The primary school system is introduced in Sweden.
1887 – Germany and Russia sign the Reinsurance Treaty.
1894 – Roseberry Uganda was first declared a British protectorate.
1897 – The Kyoto University Official is established in Japan.
1913 – The Arab Congress opens, leading Arab nationalists to discuss desired reforms under the Ottoman Empire.
1941 – Turkey signs a peace agreement with Nazi Germany.
1946 – The first Satyagraha movement for independence from Portuguese rule started in Goa under the leadership of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia.
1979 – Arms control agreement signed between the US and the Soviet Union.
1980 – Mathematician Shakuntala Devi multiplied two 13 digit numbers and gave the correct answer in 28 seconds.
1987- M.S. Swaminathan received the first World Food Prize.
2003 – Google introduced the Internet program Adsense.
2004 – Chadian troops kill 69 Sudanese fighters.
2009 – NASA sent a reconnaissance vehicle to search for water on the moon.
2013 – 31 people are killed and 60 are injured in two suicide attacks in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
2017- Pakistan won the title by defeating India in the ICC Champions Trophy.
