New Delhi: Anti-oxidative drug, which has been shown to be effective in treating diabetes, may be helpful in the treatment of Kovid-19 infected patients suffering from diabetes. Researchers have claimed this.

In a review published in the National Biotechnology Information Center (NCBI), he said, “Anti-oxidative herbal medicines can be tried as an aid in the treatment of patients suffering from diabetes and infected with Kovid-19.” It may also have an appropriate role in preventing the effects of infection.

He cited the diabetes drug BGR-34 developed using herbs such as Giloy, Daruharidra, Gudmar, Mithika and Majith.
This formula has been developed exclusively by NBRI in coordination with the Central Institute of Medicinal and Cultural Plants (CIMAP). In an independent trial conducted last year by Kashi Hindu University (BHU), the BGR-34 drug has been found effective in treating diabetes type-2.
