Covid-19 cases in India cross 91 million
New Delhi: After the arrival of 44,059 new cases of Kovid-19 in the country, infection cases in the country have crossed 91 million, out of which 85,62,641 people have become infection free. Ministry of Health informed about this.
According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry at 8 am, the number of infection cases in the country has increased to 91,39,865. At the same time, after the death of 511 more people, the death toll increased to 1,33,738.
The number of people under treatment in the country for 13 consecutive days is less than half a million.
According to the data, 4,43,486 people are undergoing treatment in the country, which is 4.85 percent of the total cases. The recovery rate of patients in the country is 93.68 percent. The death rate from Kovid-19 is 1.46 percent.
In India, the number of infected had crossed 20 lakh on 7 August, 3 million on 23 August and 4 million on 5 September.
At the same time, the total cases had crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 7 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October and 9 million on 20 November. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), as of November 22, a total of more than 13.25 crore samples were tested for Kovid-19, of which 8,49,596 samples were tested on Sunday.
