Corona: New cases increased after two days of short stay

New Delhi: After two days of cases of corona infection in the country, new cases have increased again though the rate of active cases has come down to five per cent as the number of patients recovering has continued to rise.

During the last 24 hours, the number of infected people has increased to 89.12 lakhs due to 38,617 new cases of corona infection. Earlier, on November 15, 41,100 cases were reported, but after that it decreased for two days and on November 16, they were 30,548 and on November 17, 29,163.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 44,739 patients were cured during this period, due to which active cases were reduced to 6596 to 4.46 lakh. The number of people who have defeated this epidemic has now exceeded 83.35 lakhs. With the death of 474 more patients in the same period, the death toll has increased to 1,330,993.

The rate of recovery in the country has increased to 93.52 while the death rate is 1.47. In the last 24 hours, the number of active cases in Delhi has increased by 1876, while Kerala has the highest number of healthy cases at 66250. The number of active cases in the national capital now stands at 42,004. With the death of 99 more patients in the same period, the death toll from this epidemic has increased to 7812 whereas more than 4.45 lakh patients have been exempted from infection so far. The number of active cases in Kerala has reduced to 85,191 after a decrease of 855. So far 1915 people have died here while the number of healthy people has increased to more than 4.61 lakhs.

Maharashtra, the worst affected by Kovid-19, has reduced 2459 cases to 82,940 during the last 24 hours. Due to the death of 68 patients in the state, the death toll has increased to 46,1202. More than 16.23 lakh people have beaten Corona so far in the state.

In the southern state of Karnataka, this number came down to 25,342 during the last 24 hours, due to a decrease of 78,000 cases of active corona patients. The death toll in the state has reached 11,557 and so far, around 8.27 lakh people have recovered. In Andhra Pradesh, their number came down to 16,985, due to a decrease of 9,07 active patients during this period. So far 689 people have died due to corona in the state and over 8.32 lakh people have become infection free.

Uttar Pradesh, the country’s largest state by population, has reduced its number of active cases of corona by 437 to 22,166, and 7412 people have died due to the epidemic so far. So far, more than 4.84 lakh patients have been cured in the state. In Tamil Nadu there has been a decrease of 6800 in active cases and this number has come down to 15,085 and 11,513 people have died so far. So far, over 7.34 lakh people have been transition-free in the state.

In Odisha, the number of active cases has come down to 8018 and 15,060 people have died while the number of people who have become disease-free has reached more than three lakh. The active cases of corona in Telangana have come down to 13,068 and 1415 people have died while more than 2.45 lakh people have recovered from the epidemic. After a decrease of 786 in active cases of corona in West Bengal, the number has come down to 27,111 and 7766 people have died. So far, more than 4.03 lakh people have become healthy in this state. There are 5821 active cases in Punjab and the number of people who have got infection has crossed 1.32 lakh whereas 451 people have died so far.

In Madhya Pradesh, the number of active cases has increased to 64,090 and so far more than 1.73 lakh people have been recovered while 312 people have died due to this disease. There are 12,458 active cases in Gujarat and 3815 people have died and 1.74 lakh people have also recovered from this disease. There are 5156 active cases in Bihar. In the state, 1194 people have died due to corona while more than 2.2 lakh people have become infection free.

So far from the corona epidemic, 2623 in Chhattisgarh, 2089 in Rajasthan, 2063 in Haryana, 1604 in Jammu and Kashmir, 1119 in Uttarakhand, 966 in Assam, 931 in Jharkhand, 631 in Goa, 667 in Puducherry, 364 in Tripura, Himachal Pradesh 462, 252 in Chandigarh, 225 in Manipur, 1,02 in Meghalaya, 94 in Ladakh, 92 in Sikkim, 61 in Andaman and Nicobar DBIP group, 53 in Nagaland, 48 in Arunachal Pradesh, and two in Dadar-Nagar Haveli and Daman-Diu.
