Corona infection rate lower than national average in 20 states and union territories of the country

New Delhi. More than nine crore samples have been tested to detect corona virus infection in the country, while the rate of infection is 8.4 percent and is “steadily declining”. The Union Health Ministry gave this information on Wednesday.

The ministry said that the continuous large number of investigations across the country have also helped in reducing Kovid-19 cases at the national level. “It indicates that the spread of infection is being effectively controlled,” the ministry said. It stated that the rate of infection cases in twenty states and union territories is lower than the national average. The rate of infection cases is 8.4 percent and is steadily declining.

In India, recent cases of infection recovery are higher than new cases. The ministry said that the number of patients undergoing corona virus infection in the country is 8,26,876, which is 11.42 percent of the total cases. On Tuesday, 11,45,015 samples were tested for Kovid-19, while a total of 9,00,990,122 samples have been tested across the country till 13 October. The Ministry said that out of 63,59 new cases reported during 24 hours, 77 percent of cases were from 10 states and union territories including Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha is included.
