Apple is gearing up to launch the Apple iPhone 14 series next month and ahead of the launch there were rumors that the company is considering an iPhone model. Although the company doesn’t reveal any details about its device, its suppliers and tipsters often reveal what users can expect. So far, we’ve seen several reports that reveal what features the Apple iPhone model will have. The Apple iPhone 14 is said to be included in the Apple iPhone 14 Max, Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max in the Apple iPhone 14 series. It is said that the model of Apple iPhone 14 series has got a major upgrade from its old model in terms of camera and processor. Now a latest report by Korean publication TheElec claims that the smartphones in the Apple iPhone 14 lineup will also have different OLED panel grades.

According to the report, the Apple iPhone 14 models will sport different OLED panel grades. The report claims that Samsung will apply different grades of material to the OLED panels manufactured for the upcoming iPhone 14 series depending on the display model levels. It will use its latest and most advanced material set for the high-end iPhone 14 model. Whereas it will use its previous series set for the flame level. This step is being taken to save cost.

Samsung Display will supply OLED panels for all four models of the iPhone 14 series. The report states that rival LG Display will supply two models. An OLED material set includes the dopant, host, prime, and others that are used to make the red, green, and blue pixels. Samsung Display refers to its material set used on Samsung’s Galaxy and Apple’s iPhones as the M series.

The South Korean display maker used its LT set for Apple’s first OLED iPhone, the iPhone XS, and the 2018 iPhone XS in 2017. But from 2019 it started using its M series for the supplied panels for Galaxy smartphones and iPhones. Samsung Display will use its M11 material set for the standard 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models in the iPhone 14 series.
