4 categories for Bayern players’ salaries and 20 million the upper limit
Press sources revealed that the management of Bayern Munich has set a ceiling for the salaries of the team’s players, so that none of them receive in any way the 20 million euros barrier annually.
And according to the German newspaper “Bild”, the mentioned maximum salary limit will be received by only one player, the star of the team’s attack and the Polish national team, Robert Lewandowski.
The new rules divide the salaries of the Bavarian team players into 4 categories, the first of which includes stars whose wages range between 15 and 20 million euros, and includes Lewandowski and giant goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller and Leros Sane, while Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka and Kingsley Koeman will join them in the event of their contracts being renewed.
As for the second category of the German champions, the salaries of its players range between 10 and 15 million euros, and it currently includes stars such as Kimmich, Coman and Serge Gnabry.
The third category includes players whose wages range between 5 and 10 million euros, such as Niklas Sule and Goretzka, and the fourth is for players who earn less than 5 million euros.
Bayern has taken a policy of rationalizing expenses since the Corona virus crisis, which ravaged the sports sector in the world and plunged a large number of football clubs into debt.
